Nicole Dionne
Nicole Dionne
Creative Director/Executive Music Producer
Los Angeles & Austin

With her finger continuously on the pulse of emerging music, Nicole Dionne has translated her passion and creative instinct into PrimalScream, a company dedicated to authentic and original music & sound for picture.

In the Summer of 2012, Nicole was chosen to produce all of the music for Fruit of the Loom’s massive rebranding campaign, breaking during the Summer Olympics. This revolutionary campaign features 9 spots, for both the general and Hispanic markets, spanning multiple music genres. Nicole scoured the music scene and after considering over one hundred artists, she and the creative team at Richards Group selected the perfect up-and-coming talent for the campaign. Nicole not only produced the tracks, but collaborated on the brand’s social-media and artist image campaigns to coincide with the rebranding launch on Fruit.com.

In addition to her spot work, Nicole is the Music Producer of choice for the FX Network, who has come to her for original songs for “Sons of Anarchy” and remakes of classic film music for “American Horror Story”. She was also at the musical helm of rebranding Starz with 72 deliverables for their station IDs, involving producing many different bands from different genres for their 6 stations and over 40 million viewers.

PrimalScream Music launched with several high-profile campaigns including Lexus, Guinness, American Express, Canon, Intel, Gatorade, Nike, AT&T and Ford. Positive trade press and industry recognition followed, with PrimalScream winning a Clio and two AICP awards right out of the gate. With Nicole as key creative director, PrimalScream was then awarded the BMW Films campaign for original music and sound design for the series of short brand films entitled The Hire. The groundbreaking shorts were directed by top-name feature film directors such as John Frankenheimer, Wong Kar-Wai, Ang Lee, Guy Ritchie, and starred Clive Owen as "The Driver". Madonna, Forest Whitaker and Mickey Rourke also starred.

The PrimalScream concept - placing famous established artists and emerging talent at the forefront of commercial music – had become a reality.

Today, Nicole's roster of artists reads like a who's who of the music industry: Gram Rabbit, Mako, Annie Automatic, Whisper City, Mindy Gledhill, Marc Broussard, Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean), Robert Francis, Juliette Commagere, Producer Stuart Brawley (Emmy Rossum), Doug Pettibone (Lucinda Williams), Damon Johnson (Seal and Miles Davis), and Joachim Cooder – to name a few.

Nicole always strives to work in the most creative environments possible. In Los Angeles, music industry heavy-hitter Jeff Greenberg invited Nicole to move into the world-renowned recording complex The Village. This state-of-the-art recording studio and creative cooperative is home to numerous notable artists; The Rolling Stones, Dr. Dre, Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis and many more have recorded and/or mixed at The Village.

As her body of work grows, Nicole remains a trusted maverick, constantly looking for the next great sound and band...with PrimalScream's help, that sound and that band will soon be heard by millions of music lovers the world over.
